Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal information.
Last updated: 31 August 2026
Lasting Color Permanent Make-Up (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of providing our services, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Information we collect
We only collect information that we need in order to respond to you and provide our services.
- Information you give us through this website. When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the service you are enquiring about, your preferred contact method, and anything you write in your message.
- Information you give us when booking or attending an appointment. This may include your contact details, appointment history, relevant medical history, consent forms, aftercare records, and before and after photographs where you have agreed to them.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our web host automatically records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of the visit. This is used for security and to understand general site usage.
Health information
Permanent make-up requires a review of relevant medical history and, for some clients, a patch test or a prescription from a physician. Any health information you share with us is collected only for the purpose of performing your procedure safely, is treated as confidential, and is never sold, rented or shared for marketing purposes.
Photographs
Before and after photographs are a normal part of a permanent make-up record and are taken for your file. We will not publish, post or use any photograph of you for advertising, social media or our website without your separate, express consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation or appointment
- To provide your procedure safely and to plan appropriate aftercare and follow-up
- To send appointment reminders and service-related messages
- To keep the records we are required to keep as a service provider
- To improve this website and our services
We will only send you promotional messages if you have asked to receive them, and every such message will include a way to unsubscribe.
Consent
By submitting the contact form you consent to us using the information you provide to respond to your enquiry. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, subject to any legal or record-keeping requirements that apply to us.
Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary:
- Service providers who operate this website, meaning our web host and the form-delivery service that passes your contact form submission to our email inbox.
- Our online booking system, if you choose to book an appointment through it. That provider handles your booking information under its own privacy policy.
- Where required by law, such as a valid court order or a legal obligation.
Some of these providers may store or process data outside of Canada, which means the information may be subject to the laws of the country where it is held.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store basic technical information needed for pages to display correctly. If website analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated to say so.
How long we keep information
Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Client records, consent forms and treatment notes are retained for as long as is required for legitimate business, insurance and legal purposes, and are then securely destroyed.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable physical, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. These include secure (HTTPS) transmission of anything submitted through this website, password-protected accounts, and paper records kept in a secure location. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take these responsibilities seriously.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal and record-keeping limits
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
- Make a complaint about how we have handled your information
To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
