I have been unable to wear eyeliners – even the best and most expensive, for several years. Recently I received my third (catch-up) eyeliner and brow enhancement. (not to be confused with a tattoo). The non-allergy brow and eyeliner treatments adapt to anyone who uses this method. My healing time for this treatment was about a 3-day turn around. By the 4th day I was back to 100% normal! My sessions have been two years (to 2-1/2 years) apart. This is how long my Perm Brow and eyeliners last! The treatment can be done sooner if I choose to. No more rushing around in the morning to “get my eyes to pop”. No smudges either. For me, this was a big plus. At first, I was a bit nervous and scare in getting this process done. I contacted Karen at the beginning of May and she immediately booked an appointment, explained the process, showed me pictures and told me about her prices that were very amazing. Karen does the work herself, her professionalism, kindness and gentleness immediately put my mind at ease. The process does not hurt at all and I was so relaxed that i could have easily fallen asleep. I just went for my 2nd finishing appointment Yesterday and I was very impressed and amazed as to how beautiful my eyes look, she did a perfect job, and the fact that I no longer have to struggle with getting the same thickness and perfection and the time saving is huge to me! I felt the need to sit down and write a heartfelt testimonial regarding Karen West at ‘Lasting Color Permanent Make Up’. I did not go to Karen to get permanent make-up; rather I went to her to get my permanent make-up removed.

By the time I finally met with her, I had been to 4 permanent make up appointments – each one trying to correct the last eyebrow job done by applying more and more color. My first appointment was fine, so I went for the second (“perfecting appt”) only to leave with ash black brows (I had asked for light brown/blonde). I was devastated. The lady who did this made no apology for what she had done to my face, rather tried to blame it on me stating that it was my skin that took too much color. I made an appointment with a second artist, who did her best to help. I saw her two times where she attempted to cover the ashy black with camouflage and then put a different warmer lighter color over top. What ended up happening were the light colors would fade within weeks and my brows got thicker and more solid looking.

I became obsessed with researching all the ways to remove permanent make-up, and was let down to find out that the options are scarce (laser is very risky especially on your face). Then I found Karen. She was absolutely amazing. She sent me pictures of previous clients and the results looked too good to be true. I was still apprehensive though – so she forwarded me the phone numbers of a couple clients. I spoke with them both, and they had nothing but the best things to say about their experiences with Karen. So, I went ahead and made the appt.

I arrived, and was a bundle of nerves… to the point where I started crying in front of her. I was terrified to be let down again. Karen did not pressure me. She calmly told me everything I needed to know, she showed me pictures, and she joked around. She was so kind and so comforting. It took a little while, but I finally got in that chair and went for it.

Well, I didn’t look pretty for about 10 days while my eyebrows healed. BUT, by day 11 – the results were astounding. I still cannot believe it; those hideous thick solid eyebrows are gone – I’ve got my face back!!! I honestly feel like I have woken up from a very long nightmare. I am so grateful to Karen – I consider her my little miracle worker.

I want people who have gone through what I went through to know that there is an option for you, one that works, is affordable – and gets excellent results without the risks that go with laser (and the costs). But it’s not just the method, it’s also important you see someone who CARES about you, and wants to HELP YOU. That person is Karen. I went to Karen a few months ago to have my eyebrows done as they were an off colour and lacked good shape. Well my expectations were blown away I love them so much, the colour is perfect the shape is perfect. I no longer have to colour in my own brows they look so natural. Thank you Karen!!!

The procedure was surprisingly painless – the freezing took well for me and as a result, I was able to relax during the entire process. Karen was very attentive to my questions and took more than enough time to explain the entire procedure. She worked with me on determining the best colour and shape for my eyes and brows and gave me excellent home-care advice. She has been available to me anytime I’ve had a question and had checked in with me a few times to make sure I was healing nicely and pleased with the results.
